well-being. Please know, we encourage booking with all our

Karen Waters-Quigley
B.A., R.M.T.
Karen has owned and
operated Advanced Therapeutic Massage since June 2000. She
also holds a BA in Psychology and will be receiving a BScMT in the
near future. Karen believes that Massage Therapy reduces the
severity of injuries, reduces the recovery time, and when used
regularly, actually decreases the likelihood of injury. Massage
Therapy combined with strength training has proven to be beneficial
to many chronic conditions such as low back pain, arthritis,
bursitis, and fibromyalgia. Awareness of the body's natural
resilience in compensation patterns to self-correct the imbalance is
fundamental to regaining health. She uses Therapeutic Massage for
restoring function and movement to joints and muscles used in daily
activities, sports, or those areas affected by injury. She
believes that Massage also helps relieve the stress and tension of
everyday living.

understanding of numerous sports which has enhanced her ability to
understand injury and rehabilitation as a health care
professional. She is extremely skilled at helping professional
athletes and active individuals successfully recover from
injury. She believes that teaching patients therapeutic
exercises to prevent re-injury is a very important part of the
patients wellness program. Kristin has extensive clinical
massage therapy experience with musculoskeletal pathologies, sports
injuries, surgical rehabilitation and stress reduction. She
continues to educate herself on complimentary modalities to massage
therapy in order to design a treatment plan that is best suited for
each patient.

Crystal Peel R.M.T.
Crystal has a very diverse background in health and wellness. She came to the profession with a certificate in personal training, and is passionate about fitness and weight training, and believes that being active is the key to health and longevity. Crystal started her training in Calgary Alberta, and graduated from the 2200 hour clinical massage therapy program in spring of 2006. After completing her training Crystal opened and operated Therapeutic Massage and Rehabilitation Ltd. in Calgary where she treated elite athletes and several other types of injuries. As her practice grew Crystal began to see patterns with repetitive strain injuries (R.S.I.) associated with her patients who work using computers. Crystal being interested in understanding this common and growing complaint decided to do 6 month research project. The results obtained from this project gave Crystal an intricate knowledge of (R.S.I.). Crystal has since continued to learn about treating and preventing work related postural flaws that tend to lead to (R.S.I.) in other industries such as healthcare, and construction etc.
Crystal continued her education in B.C. and successfully completed the upgrade program to acquire her B.C. Registration in Massage Therapy. She is currently completing the remainder of her Bachelor of Science Degree in Massage Therapy. Since practicing in B.C. Crystal now enjoys treating a wide variety of clients from seniors and the terminally ill, to pregnant women, infants with colic/sleep problems, and the mentally & physically disabled. Crystal strives to find and treat the root of the problem for lasting results, not just treat the symptoms. Crystal’s philosophy is that no matter what shape or size you are, old or young; we are still made up of the same muscles and bones. Anyone can improve and feel better!
